In Kiswahili, the word "Burudani" means 'relaxation, rest, leisure and comfort'. This beautiful home on the shores of the Indian Ocean provides all of the above.
Burudani House lies at the end of the Watamu Beach Road, overlooking the entrance to Mida Creek. With unrivalled sea views from its roof terrace and tastefully designed interiors throughout, this is a place of beauty and comfort combined, where you can unwind with friends and loved ones.
The stunning home has two bedrooms in the main house, sleeping up to four adults, and there is an outhouse "La Casucha" with twin beds, its own private balcony and bathroom.

The outdoor pool is the perfect place to cool off from the coastal heat. With a makuti thatched cabaña to shade yourself from the sun or a choice of sunbeds to lounge at the water's edge, there is plenty of space to relax.
Lunch times can be spent in the cabaña by the pool where your choice of light lunches (fish cakes, seafood salads or crab mayonnaise) are served. As the sun begins to dip, you could be on the roof watching the sky change colour while sipping a chilled glass of wine.
The food at Burudani House is exceptional. Shaban the cook creates dishes from freshly caught seafood and local produce. From fried coconut and crispy calamari to homemade pizzas and Swahili fish soup, there is an array of culinary delights that await. You can see the full menu here.

THE TEAM
The team at Burudani includes Shaban, Chai and Amos. Shaban is the resident cook whilst Amos is in charge of the pool and gardens and, as housekeeper, Chai looks after the interiors. They will welcome you to Burudani with warm smiles and ensure you are well looked after during your stay.
